I always say it's such an honor to photograph someone's wedding. I believe that. It's an honor to be the one entrusted with creating and saving someone's memories from one of the most special days of their lives. But for my friend Deanna's wedding, it was an honor even beyond that. Beyond words, beyond expression. Deanna and I played volleyball together in high school, and when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was so thrilled. She and Josh are one of those couples. You just know.
Their day was so incredible- it felt so effortless.
They decided to do a first look before the ceremony, and I'm so glad they did. Josh kept his reaction pretty low key, despite how breathtaking Deanna was. I did catch him wiping away tears when Deanna turned away from him, though. I was wiping away my own tears most of the day.
Their reception was absolutely filled with friends and family celebrating them, and supporting them. I couldn't have wished any more for someone I care about.
Thank you two so very much for including me in this event in your lives. I wish you both a lifetime of the love you felt on this day.
