Megan and Steve are actual aerospace engineers. Like, real life rocket scientists. So it was a no-brainer (get it? Cause they're geniuses.) to hold their wedding at the Redondo Beach Historic Library. Instead of the boring old table numbers, their guests were seated at tables named after one of their favorite books. On each table was a description of the book, and what it meant to them. Around the library, photos and books were displayed according to different chapters in their lives. Escort cards were library cards, of course. Notes of love typed on an antique typwriter. Every last detail was special and significant to them. Beyond the details, the most significant thing about their day was how many friends and family traveled from near and far to be with them. They were surrounded, enveloped by people who support and encourage them. It was an honor just to be a witness. Love you two.

Dance me to your beauty

with a burning violin

Dance me through the panic

'til I'm gathered safely in

Lift me like an olive branch

and be my homeward dove

Dance me to the end of love...

Congratulations, Peter and Alice.

Never stop dancing.

Huge ginormous thank you as always to my beautiful and talented second shooter, Kym {Kym Vitar Photography}

An epic ceremony-stopping musical surprise. Rubber chickens. Inside jokes for vows. Party of the century.

What a kickoff to a lifetime with your best friend.

When aerospace engineers fall in love, they go to the most famous observatory in all the land, look at the sky and the city, and reflect. And I try my hardest to not make space-related puns.

Congratulations Megan and Steve!

I just saw this gorgeous little family six months ago. Little Lila was practically a newbie. Meeting again just before her first birthday, I am reminded how quickly time flies with our children. I am reminded of how their chubby little hands feel as they grip our pinky finger. I am reminded of how it feels when they finally hit that first year mark, and we look back and can't believe the first year is over.

Let's remember to document every little step, every little toe.

Happy first birthday, beautiful little Lila!

She wore her grandmother's drop crystal earrings and baked cookies just for me. He proposed at Disneyland after stalking her into loving him. This was the first engagement session I've ever photographed where the bride to be actually started weeping with joy just looking at him. That's the real deal.

These two couldn't be any sweeter, any cuter, any more fabulous if they tried.

And if the fun we had together during this session is any indication of the fun that's going to get thrown down at their wedding, I'm going to need to start power napping right now.
